The School Leadership Center offers a six-day, residential Summer Institute for SLC Fellows. The purpose of the Summer Institute is to provide an in-depth training in school leadership for a maximum of 48 practicing administrators administrators from public and nonpuplic schools in the five-parish area of Louisiana served by the SLC. The Summer Instituteconcentrates on four activities:

• training from nationally-recognized experts in the fields of leadership, curriculum, instruction, resource management, classroom management, organizational and school change, mentoring, school/community relationships
• mentoring and network building
• school renewal plan preparation
• instruction programs, technology, or human resources management
