The Aspiring Leader program developed as a result of Fellow input. Fellows expressed the desires to recommend teachers to train as administrators, to provide more training for their assistant administrators, and to assist young teachers in becoming teacher leaders.
The goal of the program is to provide relevant training for the next generation of school leaders, be they aspiring principals or teacher leaders. This program is a six-day seminar with learning experiences based on the Louisiana Principal Standards and includes the necessary components to be a successful principal, educator, or school leader. The curriculum includes leadership, management, curriculum implementation, and supervision components along with knowledge of interviewing skills and personal skills designed to propel the participants into leadership roles.
