Fellows Program Seeking Applicants by Thursday

Principals with at least two or more years experience are invited to apply by Nov. 15 to the School Leadership Center's Fellows Program. This is open to all principals in public, private, parochial and charter schools in Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, St. Tammany and Jefferson Parishes.
 
Fellows are selected through an application/interview process.  The broad-based selection committee considers the principals' potential for and commitment to becoming exceptional instructional leaders in their schools.  The Fellows must agree to data collection at their schools and cooperation with the internal and external evaluators, a minimum commitment of two years to the Center, mentoring the next group of Fellows, utilizing technology and preparing school renewal plans that are designed to improve their schools and maximize student achievement.  Fellows will not be asked to develop additional plans from what the State and districts require, but rather, to expand on those plans in ways that will logically lead to student achievement.
